Carry Out Crabs

A quick carry out lunch in Chincoteague, Virginia. I like how he appears to hit the brakes in picture number two. In the end he was catching crabs quicker and easier than we were.

East Falls Fish Bridge (PG 176)

This weeks Painted Gentleman is a bridge (not my first one either) and it is the Roosevelt Expressway and Lincoln Highway over Ridge Avenue at Ferry Road in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. The whole town is fish themed. There is fish sculptures, light up wire fish on the side of buildings. And a fish bicycle rack. The Schuylkill River flows behind where I am standing.

Wissahickon Community Ambulance

Wissahickon Community Ambulance, 504 Hermit Street, Philadelphia. Located inn the Roxborough neighborhood. I can't find anything out about this organization or why the ambulances say Wynnebrook.  I do know that I've spent two weeks in Philly and saw no less than twenty five different ambulance companies. I should figure out why sometime.

Diamond Lil

Here's some pictures from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. This B-52D was sitting along the entrance road into the Academy. In my time in the Air Force I don't think I ever had an opportunity to see a B-52 take off or land. I've seen them flying over before and they would do some target practice at the range, but never when I was there. I think there was one on static display at Chanute, too.  Take a minute and read the plaque. This is one of two B-52D's to have a confirmed MIG kill in Vietnam.

The Hoagie King

If you thought the best sub shop was in your town, you are obviously wrong. It's kind of like thinking your local Chinese take out place was the best and then you drive through another town and see the "Number 1 Chinese Restaurant" and you get that Homer Simpson, "Doh!" Well, your in luck since I think  Tommy's store in Coaldale, Pennsylvania is closed now. You'll just have to imagine what the best tasted like.
