Part of the Adams Area Fire District (Butler County Company 42) along with the Mars Volunteer Fire Company since 2007. Station 1 houses AAFD's tower ladder, tanker, squad and air trailer. This is a nondescript building sitting across the railroad tracks in a small town, I had a hard time finding it.

A Charm City Win
Steve Johnson with his first pitch of his second start. Final? Second win.
Out at first.
Caught in a pickle. Out.
Adam Jones is safe back at first.
The win.
We spent Saturday evening in the nose bleed up above home plate. Actually a little higher than our paid for seats to be under the roof and out of the rain. The rain finally subsided and we went looking for food. (Old Bay Sausage) Not being able to find a view from the flag court we sat in a section in right field looking down the first base line. Eventually rain pushed us, again, under a roof for the last of the top of the ninth. Final score; Baltimore 8, Toronto 2.

Out With the Old
Along with the new drawbridge onto Chincoteague Island, Va. came the dismantling of the old drawbridge. I stopped by early one morning to watch the workers pulling the old pier posts out. Along with the post on the bottom picture was an old crab trap.

The Flying W Ranch
Seven Years ago my family and I , while visiting Colorado, spent an evening at the Flying W Ranch outside of Colorado Springs. Late this past June a wildfire burned in the mountains west of Colorado Springs. The fire, fed by high winds, moved quickly east burning more than 300 homes and the Flying W Ranch. The ranch turned to tourism in 1953 and started serving chuck wagon suppers to visitors followed by a live concert by the Flying W Wranglers. The ranch also included an old west town and railroad. The owners have pledged to rebuild.

This big doctor's house call bag sits outside of the Apex Medical Center in Stanton, Delaware. The actual address is 537 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, Delaware. It is easily seen from Route 7, southbound, north of Route 4. Just a guess, I say 10 feet tall, maybe 20 feet long.

Full of Hot Air
This is the balloon sponsored by the local country music radio station 104.7 WAYZ. This series shows the inflation starts with a big ole fan. Then the propane starts to burn and up it goes.
