Along a Colorado Trail
And as we wind on down the road,
Our shadows taller than our souls,
There walks a lady we all know,
Who shines white light and wants to show,
How everything still turns to gold,
And if you listen very hard,
The tune will come to you at last,
When all are one and one is all,
To be a rock and not to roll.

Countdown
It is the final countdown to Christmas. 5 days, and tomorrow is the first day of winter. I woke up last week and headed out into the field for work and snapped this picture with my phone. Here is a red barberry, it provides both food and shelter for small birds in the winter.

Let it Snow. Here.
This may not be here, but it was there. Showed up to snow and then it snowed. Yesterday morning was blessed with three new inches. But that was there. When I got here it wasn't.

Your Daisy
And there's just two times a day like this,
You find this kind of blissfulness,
The sun it sets and rises in the morn,
And we're shakin' hands; I rub my eyes,
Free of all my alibis,
Just a blinkin' like the day that I was born.

Turtle Trax
Apparently the city of Vero Beach, Florida did a turtle decorating contest at some time. I've seen frogs, turkeys, cows and even cowboy boots before. This is Hibiscus Honey by Suzan Phillips. Sponsored by Main Street Vero Beach. It currently resides outside of the Heritage Center.

St. Lucie County Fire District, Station 2
St. Lucie County Fire District, Station 2, 855 Seaway Drive, Fort Pierce, Florida. Fort Pierce Fire Department formed in 1906 and a 1959 Florida Act created the St. Lucie County/Fort Pierce Fire District. In 1996 the name became St. Lucie County Fire District. The old station sits up the street at 880 Seaway Drive. I'm assuming by the signage the the new station was built in 2007 and old Station 2 was built in 1967 and still owned by the Fire District.
