Shelby Street Bridge

A view looking back across the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge at the city of Nashville. The bridge crosses the Cumberland River. LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans sits behind me and to my right. The bridge was originally opened in 1909 but by 1992 it was cosed to vehicle traffic and scheduled for demolition. Instead it was refurbished and is now a pedestrian/bicycle bridge. In 1998 it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
