Fannett-Metal Fire and Ambulance Company

Fannett-Metal Fire and Ambulance Company, 18778 West Dry Run Road, West, Dry Run, Pa. Franklin County Company 12. Not much could be found on their website about their history or the history of the building. There is a cornerstone way up above the doors. If it's for the building it was built in 1977. The history link does show a picture of their first engine, a 1931 Seagrave purchased from the Vigilant Hose Company in Shippensburg, in 1950. On January 20, 2003 EMT/Firefighter Kieth Hess died in a collapse at a house fire in the village of Blairs Mills, Pa. Kieth was also a volunteer and Lieutenant at West End Fire and Rescue in Shippensburg.
