Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company









Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company. 11210 York Road, Cockeysville, Maryland. Baltimore County Station 39. Formed in October 1896 as the Marble Hill Fire Department, it would be 1917 before they incorporated as Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company. In 1896 they started in a carriage house at York and Shawan Roads. As apparatus grew bigger so did their choice of stations did moving into an old carpentry shop at York and Ashland Roads and eventually into a shop in front of that station in 1900. Here they stayed until fire took the building in 1927. In 1928 the built a new station and remained there until building the current station in 1990. CVFC ran 1137 fire and 1830 EMS calls last year.
