Friday marked the Lunar New Year 4712, the year of the Horse. Sunday was the New York City parade in Chinatown, Manhattan. We got set up near the beginning and we were the second row behind the barrier so we had a good spot. The parade started at 1 and the last float passed us about 10 minutes after 2. I guess with the Super Bowl being played across the Hudson River people avoided the city. We hit little to no traffic on our way up or on the return trip. An d the big plus was the below freezing temperatures last week were gone and the snow of this week hadn't gotten there yet. A good day. Long. But good.
