The Cordori farm sits right in the middle of what became known as Picket's Charge. On the 3rd day of fighting in Gettysburg the Confederate army made a last ditch all or nothing assault across an open field to attack the center of the union line. The road is Emmittsburg Road, the Confederates advanced from the left to meet the Union at the Angle to the right.
