Portage Volunteer Fire Company





Portage Volunteer Fire Company, Headquarters Station, 271 Main Street, Portage, Pa. Cambria County Station 83. Chartered in 1906, they started out in a barn with a horse and engine. The current station was built, along with the municipal building, in 1977. In 2009 the Cassandra Volunteer Fire Company merged with PVFC and is now the PVFC North Station. In 2015 the Wilmore Volunteer Fire Company merged with Portage Volunteer Fire Company.
