Felton Community Fire Company, 9 East Main Street, Felton, Delaware. Kent County Station 48. The Felton Fire Department was founded February 26, 1883 and reorganized in the fall of 1939 as the Felton Community Fire Company. The first firehouse was on Lombart Street (shared with the Town Hall and City Jail). A new station was moved into in 1951. In 1965 an additional building was built across the street. A dedication was held January 17, 1971 for their new 6 bay apparatus room.
