Indian River Shores Public Safety Department, 6001 North A1A, Indian River Shores, Florida. Indian River County. The facility is actually located on Fred R. Tuerk Drive west of A1A. A career department with triple certified personnel. Each member is certified law enforcement, firefighter and paramedic. The Town of Indian River Shores is the only community in Indian River County not covered by Indian River County Emergency Services. The station was built in 1975 and rebuilt following the 2004 hurricanes. A plague of dedication is dated 2008.
