Hot Springs State Park

Hot Springs State Park
Thermopolis, Wyoming
October 2018

The area that is now the Hot Springs State Park was purchased from the Eastern Shoshone tribe in 1896 and Wyoming's first state park began in 1897. The naturally flowing hot spring has a constant temperature of 135° F. The State Bath House water is more like 104° F. The bath house offers a free 20 minute soak that we took advantage of, both in the inside and outside pools. There is a walking path around the springs and a suspension bridge built in 1916 over the Big Horn River. The bison herd is also a part of the park. Pretty cool.
