Indian River County Department of Emergency Services, Station 4, Oslo Station, 1500 9th Street SW (Oslo Road), Vero Beach, Florida. Firefighting in Vero Beach was organized in 1921 and the Vero Beach Volunteer Fire Department was formed December 17, 1923. In 1980 they formed the South Indian River County Fire District and by a referendum vote in 1991 they became the Indian River County Department of Emergency Services (now IRCES). Station 4 was built in 1982. Station 4 houses an engine, a medic and a brush unit.
