Bay District Volunteer Fire Department





Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, California Station, 45774 Fire House Lane, California, Maryland. St. Mary's County Station 9. The Lexington Park Volunteer Fire Department was formed in October 1943. Equipment was first housed at the Community Center. In 1945 the first station was built in Lexington Park. That station is now BDVFD, Lexington Park Station, St. Mary's County Station 3. The current California Station was built in December 1993. LPVFD became BDVFD sometime in the mid to late 1980's. Station 9 operates 2 engines, a rescue/engine, a tower ladder, a brush, 2 utilities and a command unit.
