Newton - Wayne Volunteer Fire Company

 


Newton - Wayne Volunteer Fire Company, old station, intersection of Front and Market Streets, Newton Hamilton, Pa. Mifflin County Station 26. They began life as the Good Will Fire Company and then incorporated February 28, 1916 as Newton Hamilton Volunteer Fire Company. They Re-incorporated as the Newton - Wayne Volunteer Fire Company June 16, 1953. The old station received major damage during Hurricane Agnes in 1972 so a new station was built and dedicated December 1, 1973. NWVFC is protecting Newton Hamilton borough, Kistler and Wayne Townships with an engine, Tanker, Special Unit and a boat.
