Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department

 







Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department and Fayetteville EMS, 101 West Main Street, Fayetteville, Pa. Established in 1953 and incorporated March 29, 1954. Originally equipment was housed in a local garage until 1958 when they moved into a refurbished service garage. A new station was dedicated in October 1975. The station underwent a remodel in 2010. EMS began in 1975 and new EMS bays were added in 2016/2017. The department operates 2 engines, a heavy rescue, brush, UTV and EMS units. 

On July 2, 1977, after arriving on the scene of a working cabin fire, Fire Chief James W. Cutchall and a neighbor were killed and several other responders were injured. On September 21, 2015 a portion of Main Street in Fayetteville was renamed the James W. Cutchall Memorial Highway.
