Islamorada Fire-Rescue, Station 20





Islamorada Fire-rescue, Bernard Russell Station 20, 81850 Overseas Highway, Islamorada, Monroe County Florida. Founded in 1955, the Upper Matecumbe Station of IFR is named for Bernard Russell, founder of IFD. Changes on October 1, 1999 included a rename to Islamorada Fire-Rescue. IFR is a combination career/volunteer department with three stations. Station 20 has an engine, tanker, ladder truck and rescue(ambulance). They run about 1700 fire and medical calls per year.
