Wampum Volunteer Fire Department





Wampum Volunteer Fire Department, 709 Church Street, Wampum, Pa. Lawrence County Station 1700. Formed around 1914, the first fire house was built in 1929. That station was demolished in June 2011 and the new station was opened in October 2011. A fire broke out in the firehouse in October 2016, the Assistant Chief was able to get the pumper out and began fighting the fire that destroyed a brush truck and two squads. After renovations, they were back in the firehouse by April 2017.
