Wheatland Fire-Rescue, 605 10th Street, Wheatland, Wyoming. Platte County. The first bucket brigade was formed in 1897. On July 1, 1912 Wheatland Hose Company No. 1 purchased a hose cart. Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department was organized November 21, 1921 and built a new station in 1934. The northern addition to the current station was added in 2010/2011.
