Royal 6, York, Pennsylvania

There's not much I can say about any of the York, Pennsylvania fire companies. There is just not much out there on the Internet. This is the old station of the Royal Fire Company #6. I've mentioned before that as I recall all the York city fire companies had a mascot. The Royal's had the Lion. (The Vigilant's had the Steer) This is now the Fire Museum of York County. I toured this museum about 6 or 7 years ago and hope to get back down again this summer. The firehouse was built in 1903 (if you didn't already guess that) and sits at 757 West Market Street in York. (Another old York city station here) More pictures next Friday.
