Volunteer Hose Company, Station 1, 711 Churchtown Road, Middletown, New Castle County, Delaware. Volunteer Hose was established in September 30, 1887 and serve out of 2 stations. Station 27 in located in town Middletown. Station 1 houses and ambulance, a brush truck, a rescue-pumper and an aerial truck. This station opened in February 2006.
Heartland Fire and Rescue Station 7, formerly City of El Cajon Fire Department Station 8 (originally Station 2), 695 Tyrone Street, El Cajon, San Diego County, California. El Cajon Fire Department was formed in 1923, Heartland Fire and Rescue was established January 1, 2010 through a Joint Powers Agreement between, El Cajon FD, La Mesa FD and Lemon Grove FD. This station was built in 1960.
Lowell Fire Department, Station 10, 57 Old Ferry Road, Lowell, Massachusetts, Middlesex County. Lowell Fire Department was established by Act on February 6, 1830. 1st District Station 10 is located in Pawtucketville and was built in 1977, it houses an engine and brush truck and is one of 13 stations in the city.
Indian River County Emergency Services Department, Station 1, 1500 Old Dixie Highway, Vero Beach, Florida. Firefighting in Vero Beach was organized in 1921 and the Vero Beach Volunteer Fire Department was formed December 17, 1923. In 1980 they formed the South Indian River County Fire District and by a referendum vote in 1991 they became the Indian River County Department of Emergency Services (now IRCES). Station 1 was built in 1981 and renovated in 2015. The one has been painted red since my last time at this station (3/30/2018).
Catasauqua Fire Department, 90 Bridge Street, Catasauqua, Pa. Lehigh County Station 2. Organized in 1895 when the Borough of Catasauqua took control of the Phoenix Steam Fire Company No. 1 (organized in 1845 as Humane FC, reorganized as Phoenix in 1866) ) and the Southwark Hose Company No. 9 (formed in 1873). The East End Hose and Chemical Company was added in 1916 and the Catasauqua Rescue Squad and the Catasauqua Fire Police were added in 1968. In 2020 the Borough Counsel decertified the original fire companies and certified Catasauqua Firefighters Association as the sole provider of volunteer fire service in the borough. The Municipal Complex, including the fire station, was opened in August 2017.
Luke Volunteer Fire Department, 500 Grant Street, Luke Maryland. Allegany County Station 21. Luke FD was incorporated in 1936 and mainly served the Luke Paper Mill. The mill closed in 2019 and the Fire Department followed soon after, closing in 2022 or 2023. At the time of its closure Luke was a part of Tri-Towns Fire Department which included Piedmont, West Virginia and Westernport, Maryland.
