Farewell Nick

My daughters baseball world has been devastated. Nick Markakis signed a four year deal with the Atlanta Braves. After 9 years in an Orioles uniform it just won't be the same. I wonder which stadium we visit next year?

And Then It Snowed, Again

Something about me hunting and snow this fall. Tuesday was dreary and drizzly all morning. And then it snowed. Oh, it didn't just all of a sudden snow, no it started as a misty drizzle. Then ice pellets. Some more rainy drizzle. Then it snowed these big huge flakes. And then it snowed. And snowed. Time to head back to the truck.

The King's Heartbreak Hotel (PG 201)

You can own The King's Heartbreak Hotel. In reality, though, it's not at the end of Lonely Street at all. It's on the corner of Marshal and Monroe Avenues. Just a block or so from Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.

Bald Eagle

I may toss 95 percent of the pictures I took last Friday at Conowingo Dam, but once in s while one works out and all the starts align. As they say "A broken clock is right twice a day"

Fishing with Eagles

Friday was my annual trip to Conowingo Dam in Maryland to see the Bald Eagles. I saw between 20 and 25 different eagles. Not a lot of activity though. I did catch some fishing. Getting the lighting right with my equipment is tough. They fly between you and the sun, so it's all back lighting. And following the flight is hit or miss. Some in focus, some not. Look at the second picture, you can see the fish swimming before he's lunch.

This is post number 2500!
