Evening Cirrus

Hey, two days of waking up before the sun comes up, walking out into the dark woods and enduring half a morning in the rain wasn't all for nothing. Look at the clouds that filled the sky just before sunset. Can't wait to do it again.

Rogers Paint, Pepsi and Coke (PG 159)

This is in Fremont North Carolina, intersection of Main Street and Goldsboro Street. I stopped when I saw the Pepsi/Coke signs but got a bigger surprise when I got out of the truck to get some better pictures. (No the wife and daughter didn't drive off in embarrassment) More on the surprise another week. The top sign says "We Sell Rogers Paint, The mark of Quality" The current occupant is Natalie's Hair & Tanning. Must have been a hardware store once upon a time.

A Sunset

This is what Monday had for me. "What?", you say, "There are no deer in this picture." That IS what Monday had for me. Welcome to Pennsylvania. Somebody was seeing deer, at least in the morning. The afternoon was quiet. For me the whole day was quiet. Things started off crisp and frozen. The afternoon, although warmer, was still comfortably chilly. Lets do it all again today. Except for the 'see no deer' part. I'm off to the woods again.

What Will Today Bring?

Today is a Pennsylvania holiday. It is the first day of rifle deer season. (That would be the first day you can hunt deer with rifles) (I mean, the hunters have rifles, not the deer) Hopefully this day is better than the last several years and we actually see A deer. Soon the PA Game Commission will either kill off all the deer in the state (They're getting close to that now), or they'll piss off enough hunters that less and less people will be in the woods. Let's hope someone see the light in the new administration and things get turned around before it's too late. Good luck everyone.

Relaxing

Spent a little time this week just chilling out. It's not that I have nothing to do, just no desire to do it. So here I sit in the middle of an extra long extended weekend, maybe I can accomplish something before it's back to work.

OC Boardwalk

I said earlier this week that I enjoy being on the beach when the sun comes up. But standing on the Ocean City Boardwalk is not one of my favorite spots to be. No. Not a big fan. I spent the evening just shooting neon.
