Allison Hook & Ladder Co. #12, Harrisburg

The Allison Hook and Ladder Company No. 12 was organized on October 19, 1905, Incorporated three months later on January 16, 1906 and built this building three years later. Do I amaze you with my vast knowledge? The Allison station sits abandoned on South 14th Street near Reese Street in the Allison Hill section of Harrisburg. Sadly it's another big beautiful building going to waste amongst a whole lot of urban decay. The Allison closed up, along with some of the other City stations in 1980 and moved it's apparatus to one of the new modern station that had recently opened up.
