Today I offer another church. This is St. Mary's Orthodox Church on the corner of East Philips and First Street in Coaldale. This is the Russian Church. These seven blue cupolas have been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I posted a picture years ago here that included these blue tops. I can't quite read the cornerstone but I think I gather that the church was formed in 1909 and the building built in 1913. The cupolas were repainted and the crosses were gold plated in 2009.

I will have to say I like the blue cupolas too. I can remember them on the movie The Deer Hunter.
