St. Lucie County Fire District, Station 11, 3501 Shinn Road, Fort Pierce, Florida. A 1959 Florida Act created the St. Lucie County/ Fort Pierce Fire District, in 1996 the name changed to St. Lucie County Fire District. StLCFD is the 5th largest fire/EMS provider in the state. Station 11's coverage area, at 100 square miles, is the largest in the county. The building was dedicated in 1986.
