Tamaqua Rescue Squad, 19 Pine Street, Tamaqua, Pa., Schuylkill County. Chartered in July 7, 1969, they are separate from the four volunteer fire companies that make up the Tamaqua Fire Department. TSR placed their first unit in service in 1977.That same year they purchased their station, which was a former taxi service. They currently operate two units, including a hurst tool (Jaws-of-Life). 100% volunteer, they respond to about 120 calls per year.
