Merna Fire Protection District, 503 West Old Highway 2, Merna, Nebraska. Custer County. The Merna VFD dates back to before 1910, the Merna Fire Protection District was organized in 1951. The volunteers moved into this new station in March 2010. Apparatus includes an engine, tanker, brush truck, ambulance and a UTV.
