Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Station 3, Tropical Park Fire Rescue Station, 3911 SW 82nd Avenue, Miami, Florida. Also known as the Heroes of September 11 Fire Station. MDFR was formed in 1935 from a single unit fire patrol. Currently they have 71 stations protecting the unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County. Tropical Park Fire Rescue Station houses an ALS engine and a rescue (ambulance). Station 3 is the only MDFR station with it's apparatus painted red, as a tribute to FDNY. The 9/11 memorial was dedicated in 2012.
