Franconia Volunteer Fire Department, 6300 Beulah Street, Alexandria, Virginia, Fairfax County Station 5. Established 1933. FVFD consists of 2 station, the Franconia Station 5 on Beulah Street and the Kingstowne Station 37 on Telegraph Road.
Brickerville Fire Company No. 1, 10 Hopeland Road, Lititz, Pa. Lancaster County Station 21. Chartered June 6, 1947 and serving Elizabeth Township. I believe the main portion of the station was built in 1947.
Shiremanstown Fire Company, 3 West Main Street, Shiremanstown, Pa. Cumberland County Company 22. Organized January 12, 1909 and incorporated July 1, 1941. The station was built in 1941. I last photographed this station in March 2010. I don't think much has changed.
The former Lincoln Fire Company No. 1, 5187 Lincoln Highway, Thomasville, Pa. Former York County Station 3. The Lincoln Fire Company, aka Thomasville Fire Company dates back at least into the 1930's. On October 1, 2017 LFC merged with Nashville Fire Company, York County Station 11, establishing a single department for Jackson Township. All response moved to the more central Nashville FC station and retaining the NFC name.
Lincoln Fire Company No. 1, 38 South Market Street, Ephrata, Pa. Lancaster County Station 16. Volunteer fire service started in New Ephrata with their first meeting on July 28, 1869 as Washington Fire Engine and Hose Company, aka New Ephrata Fire Company and chartered in 1906. Their first station was on Apple Street followed by a firehouse on Lincoln Heights Avenue with additions in 1963 (kitchen) and 1978 (two bays). A new station, the current one, was built next door and dedicated June 20, 1998. In July of 2010 Ephrata Area Rescue Squad merged with LFC1.
