Shawnee Valley Volunteer Fire Department, 3885 Pitt Street, Schellsburg, Pa. Bedford County Station 37. Originally chartered June 19, 1950 and reactivated November 3, 1954. SVVFD purchased land in 1955 for their original station and again in 1967, probably when this station was built. Ambulance service started in August 1971.
