Allegheny Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Station 2, 120 Herron Drive, Cheswick, Pa., Allegheny County Station 315. AVVFC was formed from a June 6, 2012 merger of Hamar Township Fire Department (organized in 1938) and Springdale Township Fire Department (formed around 1977). Cheswick Volunteer Fire Company joined in 2022. This station is a block or two from the original Hamar FD station on Freeport Road, now occupied by the Township. Station 2 was built around 2000.
