City of Santa Barbara Fire Department, Administration, 925 Chapala Street, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County, California. The first volunteer company was the Pioneer Company No. 1, formed in January 1874. They soon disbanded. Next came the George Washington Company No. 2 on Washington's birthday, February 22, 1882. In 1906 the Washington Company No. 2 became the Santa Barbara City Fire Department. SBFD operate out of 8 stations.
