The Zion United Church of Christ sits just on the outskirts of Newburg, Pa. at the intersection of Zion Road and Zion Hill Road. And not far out the back door is the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Unlike the St. John's Roman Catholic Church in New Baltimore, Pa. there are no steps for the truckers to visit on Sunday morning. What it does have is a cemetery that caused the Turnpike right-of-way to be squeezed in to avoid the graves. According to the datestone above the door the Zion Reformed Church built the original church in 1799, which was rebuilt in 1858 and remodeled in 1882. I don't know how much of this building is the original or even the 1858 building.
