I made my sort-of-semi-annual trip to Conowingo Dam, in Darlington, Maryland, on Friday morning. It was the first time in two years since I had been down and the first time on a weekday. We arrived just as the sun was clearing the horizon and were greeted by hundreds of gulls just swarming the generator wash. Not the best of days for eagles, though. We did see, maybe, 20 or so. This juvenile gave me the best picture opportunity when he circled around. There were 3 or 4 other guys there where I was but they had the BIG cameras and lenses. They chuckled that this juvie flew too close for them. I'm not complaining
