Center Fire Protection District, Eighth Avenue, Center, Colorado. Rio Grande County. The Town of center actually straddles the county line of Saguache and Rio Grande. Most of the town sits north of Eighth Avenue (Highway 112) in Saguache County the fire station and other businesses sit on the south side in Rio Grande County. A possible cornerstone near the front left building corner reads July 11, 1992.
