Why do I go to Conowingo Dam every year? The numbers. I don't know of anywhere else I would get the opportunity to see the numbers of Bald Eagles as I would/do get at the Dam. This picture was taken at about 10 am just as the fog was starting to lift. You gotta remember that there are eagles in the trees behind me. And sitting on the dam walls. And on the power towers on the island. The rest of those big birds sitting on the rocks are Black Vultures.
