Ansley Fire and Rescue, 522 Division Street, Ansley, Custer County, Nebraska. The volunteer fire service in Ansley dates to 1895, the Ansley VFD was formed in 1905. On December 16, 1942 their firehall burned down, they soon after moved into another building. They later moved into a new station in 1966 at the corner of Main and Edmunds Streets. In 1967 the Ansley Rescue Squad was started. Eventually the VFD merged with the Rural Fire District and the built this station in 2010.
