Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, R. David Paulison Fire-Rescue Headquarters, 9300 NW 41st Street, Miami (Doral), Florida. MDFR was formed in 1935 from a single unit fire patrol. Currently they have 71 stations protecting the unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County, an area of 1883 square miles with 1.7 million residents and an annual call volume over 250,000 calls. The Headquarters also houses the Fire Rescue Training Complex, Emergency Operations Center and the Firefighters Memorial Wall. The memorial was dedicated July 28, 2000.
