Pack In to Elk Camp - 1998

Pack in to elk camp in October 1998. This was a first season hunt and our third season with Colorado High Guide Service. Not our best season in the Flat Tops but far from our worst. I shot a small muley buck one evening near dark. By the next morning the coyotes had gotten the best of it. From what I can remember anymore it wasn't too cold and I don't think we had any snow that year. It was one of the few years that we flew out and rented vans.

Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department

Hot Springs County Rural Fire District, Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department, 400 South 14th Street, Thermopolis, Wyoming. This is the only department in Hot Springs County, a 2004 square mile coverage area. With 2 engines, 2 tenders, a tower, a heavy rescue and 6 wildland fire units, the annual call volume is about 100 responses. The main station building was built in 2007, all the other buildings were built sometime since 1994.
