Sun Studio (PG 192)

What can you say about Sun Studio in Memphis? This is the place that a truck driver stopped in to record a record for his Mama's birthday. Sam Phillips was out that day so the secretary, Marion Keisker, recorded it. She thought he had potential and told Sam about this kid named Elvis Presley. Sun Records also brought us Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash. The studio first opened in 1952 and saw a lot of talent inside these walls through the 50's and to some extent today.
