Holy Family Cathedral, Anchorage




The Holy Family Cathedral on the corner of 5th Avenue and H Street in Anchorage, Alaska. A Roman Catholic Church, it is the motherchurch of the Archdiocese of Anchorage and the seat of the prelate archbishop. Founded in 1915, this building was opened in 1948. Pope John Paul II's 1981 visit brought and estimated crowd of 80,000 people.

The Great Willy's picnic is June 14th, see site for info! I told you I'd let you know about this! It's not big on the 'picnic' portion (food) but definitely ride the railroad to Wannemakers store and get off the train and buy lunch and eat it there then get back on the train when it returns in an hour... any questions, let me know!
