We did get to witness a little excitement at Big Meadows in Shenandoah National Park. While travelling south on Skyline Drive we saw a half dozen official cars and SUV's and an ambulance at one trailhead parking lot. Later when we drove to the Big Meadows parking lot the ranger told us to start walking there was a helicopter going to land soon. Pegasus is out of the University of Virginia at Charlottesville.
