The Mid-Point of the Appalachian Trail

So I spent Easter morning hiking to the mid-point of the Appalachian Trail. That's right the point that is 1090.5 miles from the start in Springer Mountain , Georgia, 1090.5 mile from the end in Mt. Katahdin, Maine and 1.25 mile from the truck. Not a bad hike in, but some steep sections and a switchback were a warning for the hike out. Just a quick breather at the Tom's Run Shelter and the signpost was just ahead. The hike out was uphill. And that's all I have to say about that.
