It's Like Groundhog Day Everyday

A 3 hour drive was turned into a nearly 5 hour drive after being stuck in the snow on the road over the mountain (because some fool "couldn't drive in the snow"). Followed by a 50 mile drive at 25 MPH. Hotel check in at midnight... check out at 4 AM. Another 40 miles in the falling snow (and temperatures). School bus ride from Wally World to Gobbler's Knob. Then wait. Some sort of corny karaoke, talent show on stage to pass the time. By this time it's 11 degrees with a -5 degree wind chill and more snow. Fireworks coming up and out of the surrounding woods in the falling snow (a definite highlight). Finally time to march the rodent to his stump. Yank him out and let those of us, not completely frozen or buried in a snow drift, that there would be 6 more weeks of winter. Then the sprint, and free for all to get back on the bus. (by far the lowest point of the trip). Back to Wally by 830 and time to look for some breakfast. Hindsight is still processing...
