What a great memorial for the City of Lancaster! It pleases me and same time is sad to see that Edward De Mora age 28 was the second man to die in line of duty. My great grandfather (paternal side) never got over his death. Our family had always long history with the Lancaster Fire Depart, volunteer Johannes Messenkop in the 1760's and his son's there after where even the Demuth/Messenkop shop now keeps some of the first firefighters hats.
