Indian River County Department of Emergency Services, Station 7, Portable Station, 1891 90th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida. Firefighting in Vero Beach was organized in 1921 and the Vero Beach Volunteer Fire Department was formed December 17, 1923. In 1980 they formed the South Indian River County Fire District and by a referendum vote in 1991 they became the Indian River County Department of Emergency Services (now IRCES). Station 7 was previously located at 1215 82nd Street, that station was built in 1984. It closed in 2016 and has since been razed.
