Sunset at Assateague Beach. Sometimes lens flares are pretty cool. They're just the bright sun reflecting off the lens glass of the camera. They can be annoying or the can add a little something to the picture.

Crossing Over to the Dark Side
I know, it's a sad, sad day here at the Outskirts. I have sold my soul, well maybe just rented it out, to the dark side. The Outskirts of Suburbia can now be found on the evil MyFacePage. But let me make this clear... this is the one and only Outskirts source, anything that ends up over "there" is merely a copy of my work here. The main reason, I mean the only reason for this is the difficulties we've all had here on blogger posting comments. We'll see if the new set up is any better. Posts here at the home office will continue to hit the inner webs at one minute after midnight. they will cross over to the other side later in the morning when I get around to it. I've been posting for the past week trying to work out the glitches but I'm sure there will be more. If problems arise or drama unfolds there is a delete page button that I won't hesitate to active. So enjoy and tell you friends.

Kings Gap Mansion
Last month the thought of sitting around another day was driving me nuts. Time for a drive. Although there were places I had in mind other were spur of the moment. Kings Gap ended up being one of those spur of the moment. Being a Sunday morning and snowy, I practically had the park to myself. There were a few others out hiking, I just went to the mansion and gardens. This would be a good place to do some hiking. I'll have to remember that.

Turkey Trot
I ran into some Eastern Wild Turkeys last weekend. Thanksgiving is over but soon it will be spring turkey season and time to go back into hiding.

The Fisher
OK, so not all my trail cam pictures are squirrels. Some are but once in a while I get what I'm after. I had an inkling this Fisher was in the area. I saw him last fall. so I set the trap, cleared some brush and broke out the sardines. Two days later his image was mine. I wish I could have caught him during the day. I did find his trail in the snow after I retrieved the camera.

Reluctant Roger, the Insecure Groundhog
Phil's cousin, Reluctant Roger, here doesn't want to come out. You see he's not afraid of his shadow, he grew up on the outskirts of Philadelphia. No, what scares him the most is irate weathermen who fear he's out to make them look bad. Six more weeks of winter? Early spring?
