Darby Fire Company No. 1, 4 Quarry Street, Darby. Pa. Delaware County Station 4. Established January 27, 1775 and incorporated March 1903, serving Darby and Colwyn Boroughs. Darby Fire Company is the 2nd oldest active fire company in Pennsylvania and the 5th oldest in the U.S. Their first firehouse was located at Chester and Quarry Streets, their current station was opened in 1912 with bays added in 1960 and a 3 bay added in 2014.

Formed in 1900, the current station was built in 1981 across the street from their former firehouse, which has since been razed. The Tavern has been operating since 1940. MVFD1 respond with 2 engines, a tanker, heavy rescue, brush truck and a UTV.
