Oakmont Fire Department

Oakmont Fire Department, 418 Virginia Avenue, Oakmont, Pennsylvania, Allegheny County Station 216. Founded 1903, organized in 1907 and reorganized in 1921. The station was dedicated September 9, 1961. The addition was dedicated October 12, 1986 in memory of Samuel "Red" Brocato, Chief 1960 - 1984.

Middlesboro Fire Department, Station 1

 

Middlesboro Fire Department, Station 1 and Headquarters, 215 North 20th Street, Middlesboro, Kentucky, Bell County. Formed before 1900, the MFD operate out of 2 stations with a tower, 3 engines, a tanker, a command unit and 6 ambulances. The old firehouse was a part of the Municipal Building built in 1911 and sat across the street from the current station. Most of the occupants of the building moved out in 1979 leaving just the fire and ambulance. In September of 1986 a fire burned parts of the abandoned portion leaving the fire and ambulance areas with slight damages. Later in 1986 they moved across the street to their new and current house.

Shiremanstown Fire Company, 3 West Main Street, Shiremanstown, Pa. Cumberland County Company 22. Organized January 12, 1909 and incorporated July 1, 1941. The station was built in 1941. I last photographed this station in March 2010. I don't think much has changed.

Prince George's County Fire Department, Northview Station 816, 14901 Health Center Drive, Bowie, Maryland. PGFD was established in 1971 and is a combination career/volunteer department with 48 stations. Station 816, built in 2009, houses an engine, haz-mat support vehicle, air unit and a paramedic Ambulance.
